In which including services for users to manage various types of personal data, including web e-mail, contacts, calendar, tasks and notes. Outlook was launched as Hotmail in 1996 by Sabeer Bhatia and Jack Smith, a year later it was acquired by Microsoft in 1997 for an estimated $400 million. And then it was relaunched by Microsoft as MSN Hotmail, but later Microsoft rebranded Hotmail to Windows Live Hotmail as part of the Windows Live suite. October 2011 Microsoft decided to phase out Hotmail, then relaunched the email service as Outlook.com in 2012. In terms of email service popularity and usage, Outlook has overtaken Yahoo to become the second most popular free email provider in the world.
