About - Google Classroom is a free Internet-based blended learning platform and tool provided by Google for schools and students that was designed with the idea of simplifying the creating, distributing and grading of online assignments in schools. The primary purpose of Google Classroom is to save time and paper between teachers and students, and to simplifying the learning process by easy sharing of files or documents. As of 2021, more than 150 million users of Google Classroom are using it. The launch of Google Classroom was announced on May 6, 2014, with a preview made available only to certain members of Google's G Suite for Education program. But Google Classroom was publicly released on 12 August 2014. Google Classroom integrates Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, Gmail and Google Calendar into one platform to manage communication between teachers and students. Students can be invited to join the class through a private code given by the administrator, or can be automatically imported from a school domain.
